Ingredients
  

Ramen Base

  • 1/2 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio) Use fresh or properly thawed beef.
  • 2 ramen noodle packs (discard seasoning packets) Use fresh or instant ramen noodles.
  • 4 cups chicken or beef broth Use low-sodium broth for better flavor control.
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce Adds umami and depth of flavor.
  • 1 tsp sesame oil Provides a nutty aroma.
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced Fresh or ground ginger works.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce or oyster sauce Adds a slightly sweet and savory balance.
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili flakes Adjust for spice preference.

Toppings

  • 2 soft-boiled eggs, halved Optional but highly recommended.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Adds freshness and color.
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds Adds crunch and nuttiness.

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the beef, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • In a saucepan, bring the broth to a gentle boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions.
  • Divide the cooked noodles into bowls. Pour the hot broth over the noodles.
  • Top with the cooked ground beef, soft-boiled eggs, green onions, and toasted sesame seeds.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra richness, add a splash of mirin or miso paste to the broth. Customize with additional toppings like mushrooms, bean sprouts, or nori.
