Ingredients
  

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Burrito Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup Mexican blend cheese or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • hot sauce or salsa Optional
  • 1/2 cup refried beans Optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning, tomato paste, beef broth, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Let the beef simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and flavorful.
  • Heat the flour tortillas on a dry skillet for 15-20 seconds per side until soft and pliable.
  • Spread a layer of nacho cheese sauce on each tortilla.
  • Add a generous scoop of seasoned beef, followed by cooked rice and shredded cheese.
  • Drizzle sour cream and hot sauce (if using) for extra flavor.
  • Optional: Spread a thin layer of refried beans for a creamy texture.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
  • Place the burrito seam-side down to keep it secure.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the burrito seam-side down.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy (optional).

Notes

For extra flavor, add avocado, jalapeƱos, or pickled onions. To make it spicier, use extra hot sauce or chipotle seasoning.
